Andy’s 90-day weight loss challenge

Today (14th July 2018) sees me starting another 90-day weight loss challenge – it’s a bit daunting going on this as it means being extremely tough on myself and holding back on what I allow myself to eat, even more than I do than normal.

It’s not “fun”…

But I really need to lose weight, more weight.

Between October/November 2016 to October 2017 I lost nearly 5.5 stone in weight, over 2 stone of that was while doing a 90-day challenge using products from Mannatech. I essentially lost nearly half of that weight in a quarter of the time it took to lose the other half.

However, I hit my birthday in October 2017 and ran out of steam. As I had been on that weight loss journey for a year, I decided to have a break for a couple of months and get back on it after Christmas. It just never happened though. I had more or less maintained the weight I had gotten down to, but over the last couple of months, it has gone back up by just over half a stone.

Last year I had (more or less) constant, gentle encouragement, positivity, and support from a friend – someone to answer to, and who would make sure I was keeping on top of things. I don’t have this support this year, and I am pretty much on my own. I am finding it incredibly hard to find the motivation, and the willpower to keep on track.
So, to help me focus, I decided to give the 90-day challenge another shot, but to help motivate me I am getting people to sponsor me with the proceeds going to charity. The proceeds from this challenge will be going to The Wallace & Gromit Grand Appeal, which is a local charity for the Bristol Children’s hospital.

To help motivate me further, I’ll be doing it on a “pound for a pound” basis – in other words, for every pound (lb) in weight I lose, people can donate a pound (£) in money. Not everyone will want this option so there will be a choice where they can donate a set amount.

Last time I lost 31lbs – I wish to at the very least, match this. So, my target weight is 218lbs (99Kg – perhaps that’s a good goal, to break the 100Kg mark).

Starting stats (I’m not proud of these, and it’s hard to share them, so please don’t judge or comment):
Day: 1
Weight: 249.2lbs / 17.8 Stone / 113Kg
Waist: 123cm / 48”
Hips: 128cm / 50”
Chest: 120cm / 47”
Neck: 42cm / 16.5”
*Please note due to the shape of my body I find it hard to get an accurate measurement, so the size measurements are only meant as a guide to progress and are rounded off.

If you want to help me, you can do so in a couple of ways:
1) Make a donation to my chosen charity on the Just Giving website at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/andrew-mills29

2) Also, the products I am using to help support my weight loss are expensive (for a reason – you get what you pay for). It will help, if you wish, to make a personal donation to myself (this will help me lose more weight and hopefully raise more money for the charity. Remember that using this button money goes to me, not that charity!)

3) Buy some products from Mannatech to try for yourself using the following link. If you use this link, I will get a small commission that I can apply towards buying their products.
